Re: I peddle nuts!

Hi,
I dont play this game much but I think your strategy
is dead right if this many people are seeing the flop.
You want nut draws and redraws, and be cautious of
(temporary) nut hands on the...

Re: Stud/8 Hands--Am I Jamming Too Much

Hand 1 - " Is raising a guy on 5th who paired his doorcard too much?"

IMO probably - you have to catch runner-runner for either a good high or low here. I do think you want to see another card...

Re: Conclusions from the Lee Jones / Ed Miller thread

I dont think it's such a big deal as has been made out.
Lee Jones' book was the first one I read and having played
a bit before and lost it plugged many leaks. As has been
said before the emphasis...

Re: Book to get started with 7 card stud

If you mean typos then yes, I was quite disappointed by

Re: Book to get started with 7 card stud

Ashley Adams' book is a very good
introduction IMHO.

Re: Winning Omaha/8 Poker Mark Tenner Book

I found the website lowlimitomaha.com (http://www.lowlimitomaha.com)
very useful as a beginner. It outlines a simple and relatively
safe strategy for playing in loose passive games.

I have...

Re: knowing your opponent, a 5/5 PLO hand

My pessimistic inner-voice would say that either someone has
hit with J8xx or is trapping with K8xx in the hope that you
make a flush on the river. I know very little about PLO at
anything other...

Re: Blast! I lost.

"I am the chip leader with about $65, a rock on my right, goes all in $27, I look down and see A K . I put him on jacks or queens. I call.
He has queens. No help. I lose."

Why do you want to...

Would you play any of these? (Re: W/ u fold any of these?)

In reality, w/ a 8xbb raise and 2 cold callers would you play any of these hands, even with a 500xbb stack?

If you had to I would prefer the suited connectors as you may end up losing set over set...

Re: What to read next?

I really liked:

The Complete Book of Hold'em Poker
Gary Carson

This has a different perspective to the 2+2 books, much more focussed on adjusting your play to game and player types. I think...

Re: AA v 65/76 [\"The System\" at work (long)]

"As we all know, even 65s is a big dog to AA, although it is
the best hand to play against AA (BTW: Can somebody explain
the difference in probability between 65s and 76s?)."

I guess the 76...
