Default Book to get started with 7 card stud

I am currently just a Hold'em player but would like to start playing 7 card stud. I bought 7CSFAP a few months ago but really need something a bit more basic for the time being. Is there anything worthwhile out there that fits this ?

Below 10:20 Roy Wests book is good.
15:30 and above you already have the best book.

Being a beginnier, I cannot comment as to the quality of the recommended strategies in these books:

How to Beat Low-Limit 7-Card Stud Poker
Paul Kammen
Cardoza Publishing

Winning 7-Card Stud
Ashley Adams
Lyle Stuart/Kensington Publishing

A number of other books I've come across have one or more chapters devoted to 7-Card Stud.

I too started with SCSFAP then read the stud chaper in Super System. It helped a lot.

Ashley Adams' book is a very good
introduction IMHO.

Best wishes,

Mason,

What errors did you find in the Adams book? Anything that particularly stuck out in your mind?

If you had to give it a rating, roughly what would it be?

If you mean typos then yes, I was quite disappointed by
the number of basic errors, in particular the hands that
are described are often incorrect in the diagrams. I
dont think it detracts too much from the rest of the
content.

Do you have any criticism of the recommended plays as
a whole ? I find them quite effective at the low limits
I play online.

Mark.
