Re: mixed game - blind structure?

Here's what we do:
For blind games they post $1 and $2.
Than for the ante games we simply have the same people post blinds, but move them into the pot and they become antes. I don't know if this...

Re: 5/5 suggestions

You're both correct. I usually play .25/.50 but me and my poker buddies all got our tax returns and would rather gamble them away to each other rather than dumping them to non-friends in a casino....

5/5 suggestions

I'm playing my first 5/5 NL HE game tonight and have questions. How does strategy change because of two big blinds? Also, what's a reasonable bankroll and buy-in for this game?

Re: pool table cover for poker

I thought about doing the same thing but the problem is your knees. Sit at the table and try to eat - your knees will band the table a lot. In sum, I decided against it. The table top would have to...

Re: Good Books Regarding Economics?

Is there an essay from an economist that argues against this baby sitter story? Specifically, I'm know there are economists that don't think there should be a central bank. I assume these people...

Re: The Mucking Rule Again

Be carefull! I had the winning hand, was in the position directly across from the dealer and turned my hand over and set it down in front of me near the pot and was warned that even though I showed...

Re: Taj for thieves and dirtbags???

I just went there for the first time and I love it. Compared to what I have seen before the room is huge. They have all kinds of games going at all limits even on a Tuesday night. If I was going on a...

no boards in Vegas like at the Borgata?

I just recently returned from Atlantic City and Vegas and was suprised by Vegas's lack of boards in the poker rooms. The Borgata has two plasma TVs showing every game going, the waiting list, lists...

Re: Suggestions for Wynn

As a player the must move policy is annoying. I like playing short-handed and think that I'm at an advantage because I know to adjust my play while others may not. However, I do think it's a personal...

Re: TRKING - \"Teddy KGB\'s\"

To clarify, I didn't get any kind of kickback at all. I decided not to get a set because I really only wanted the set if it was really damn close if not exactly the same. Phillip said he would send...

Re: Soft Vegas SSNL Games

I disagree about Binions. Three friends and I all played NL there and only one of us lost some money. The rest of use went from 100 to about 150 - 200. We all had a good time and the games wasn't as...

Re: No more live poker for two weeks.

Something that worked for me: I took a break from hold 'em and devoted myself to stud for about a month. Read some books, played on-line, played in a casino. It forced me to learn a new game and keep...

Re: Should you tip a dealer if you win a jackpot?

At a few places I've played the dealer gets one of the smaller shares. If that was the case then I wouldn't.

Re: need a nice poker case for my paulsons

Has anyone seen the carryon luggage looking 2K chip holder in real life? I'm getting tired of my birdcage. It's annoying to have to open it and fumble around with racks.

Re: 7 card stud on LV strip?

Re: Kems vs Copags (AGAIN?? Yes again)

Re: Pokerchips.com Service

They are worth the wait if you can, but just be prepared to wait about 20 weeks. I placed an order last summer and it took over a month longer than they quoted me originally.

Re: an old pokerchips.com post

I placed an order with PC.com and it took a long time. The only thing that really pissed me off was that they kept extending the wait time. It's one thing to tell me it will take 18 weeks (or so, I...
