Default Should you tip a dealer if you win a jackpot?

Should you tip a dealer if you win a jackpot?
They have absolutely no control over the cards that are coming.
If you should tip them when you win a jackpot, then shouldn't you also be able to blame them for a bad beat?

I do. Even if it's a table share.

I also put their names on FH/sunday drawing tickets so if I win one they get money from it.

It's kind of like the concept in golf and getting a hole in one. If you get one, you're supposed to buy a round of drinks in the clubhouse. Ineresting aside: In Japan, they actually have hole-in-one insurance for this.

There's only been 12314321 threads about tipping and not tipping this week alone. Can't we just let this topic die?

Sorry Photoc, you are wrong.

It was twelve million, three hundred fourteen thousand, three hundred twenty TWO, not 12,314,321.

p.s. anyone who votes you shouldn't tip or they wouldn't tip should be flogged, put on a boat, sent to the middle of the north atlantic, and sent on a one way trip to titanic-land.

D,

While i can agree with your sentiments it's customary to tip on jackpots. Even high hand ones.

I wouldn't tip as much as most fish do, but a little something feels right to me. I wouldn't tip off 50 bucks on a 200 dollar high hand like i see some fish do. But 5-10 for the dealer and another 5-10 for the floor doesn't cost you too much.

In a small place like lils (or other rooms in the area) i think you really need to handle these things well. The floor, dealers, and other players will remember. You may find yourself with faster waits if you tip decently on one and longer waits if you don't.

I won three bad beat jackpots in my life.
All three were in the same casino, and two in the same night.
This was at FT Mcdowell in Az.
Was there for work.
I tipped too well all three times.
