Re: Top Pair Top Kicker
Well, I checked the river because I didn't like his two smooth calls at all. He either had a monster or a lower ace. I was hoping that he would make a small bet in both cases and I could get a cheap...

Re: A situation I\'m unsure about PP $30
The min bet and the following call is screaming "DRAW!" to me so I would value bet the turn.
The flop raise could probably be a little lower and still push out people with overcards. Then it won't...

Re: Fun in the SB PP $30
Seems really stupid to me
You don't know anything about his hand except that his increasing bet size is probably a sign of strength.

Re: 3 Handed 44 on button
I have two rules I almost always follow:
1. If I have more than 1/3 of my stack in the pot preflop, I never fold to a raise.
2. If I have a small pocket pair and will call a reraise preflop I...

Re: Out on the first hand...
I like the all-in on the flop!
My guess would be that CO has the
flush 1/10 of the time
high pocket pair 1/10 of the time
Ace or King of heart 8/10 of the time
You simply cannot allow him...

Re: Would you have played this any different?
[ QUOTE ]
I'm kinda curious as to why you wouldn't normally play this? If I can get in cheap I always play KQ, it's certainly not a monster hand but it is at the upper end of good hands.

On the Bubble against Aggressive raiser
$20+2 The guy on the button is one of the better players I've met at the $20-level. Really tight in the beginning and maybe a little bit too aggressive 5-handed. He had stolen the last two pots and...

Fold preflop with low blinds, on the button with several limpers?
I limp every time for set value, it's not even close!

I do not go all-in with any hand worse than KK in the early rounds.

At the $10 level you should try to get all in with QQ as well.

Re: Huge Laydown
My original plan was to check the turn and on the river:
1. If he's got the Ace he would make a small to medium bet to get me to call, I call.
2. If he is going to try to steal the pot he will...

Re: My first 100 $10+1 SNG\'s
[ QUOTE ]
In #3, the lowest stack is about to pay the blinds - and probably go all-in with average hand that one of the big stacks could easily bust him out. Why mess with that with a 48s?

My first 100 $10+1 SNG\'s
So now I’ve played my first 100 NL SNG’s $10+1 and here are my thoughts of it.
I’ve been a limit player before and played over 10.000 hands at Paradise (5,5bb/100 hands) and some on other sites....

So the odds are 1 to 2978.. =)

Re: Help with Heads Up!
You should be aggressive heads-up but you have taken the concept too far.
Hand 1 is a fold under normal circumstances. That the cards are suited doesn't mean much heads-up.
