Re: Question to the Pros re: Percentages of hitting your Outs???

I read in a book (cant remember which one) that you can use a quick method to give you a very rough idea of your % of hitting.

Basically on the flop you multiply your no of outs by 4 to give the %...

Re: Why I don\'t like AK

Its possible he could have hit the King too. Maybe he has KQ or AK but if he has KQ he has now hit 2 pair and AK you only tie but i very much doubt you are ahead given the way the betting has gone so...

Re: Two hands with AKs

1st hand: Villain is likely to have some sort of hand calling from the BB. High cards or a medium pocket pair as likely IMO. Then he bets out on the flop against the Pre Flop raiser which to me looks...

Re: bluff gone horribly right... river decision

You should make a bigger bet on the flop to pick it up there.

I think i would call the river. It just seems like a bet that wants you to fold to me. You havent really been betting big on flop or...

Re: Kings, am I beat here? I can\'t be right? well, maybe?

No i probably would have pushed the turn too but im basing the assesment of villain having 22 on the whole hand including villain calling on the river.

Im sure when you let us know the results a...

Re: BB flops two pair and faces aggression

I think fold here. He just seems to be showing alot of strength that i would imagine he has a set or a str8 especially after he re raised the 2nd time.

Re: AA preflop

You should raise this. I would raise to about $80. Its likely to take the pot down there but if you just limp then CO might call for the pot odds and you will be acting out of position against 2...

Re: Kings, am I beat here? I can\'t be right? well, maybe?

he could have 22,55 for trips or 99,TT,JJ. QQ-AA would have probably raised PF from the button. Maybe 67s or 56s too. Dont think he has 66 or 77 as would probably call instantly. Str8 looks unlikely...

Re: See the flop or Push?

I think i would check it. EP might be slow playing a big hand, depends on what sort of player he is. Have you seen him limp alot from early position?

SB and MP limper will probably fold so if you...

Re: Play a Hand With the Masters #2 Turn

I dont play the 109's so i cant comment but i wasnt saying you need to give credit for all Pre Flop raises. I was saying as the PF raise was from early position then it is more likely to be a big...

Re: Play a Hand With the Masters #2 Turn

It looks like the villain is trying to get paid with a big hand. Villain knows that hero is strong with an early PF raise. Even if villain held AJ or KJ he knows he could be up against AK alot of the...

Re: Did i handle the ladies correctly?

What hands would you put villian on here Orange?

Do you think he will have a draw here enough of the time to make the call correct?

I made a smallish re raise to partly try to find out if i...

Re: Pot Limit Official Ruling Question

Got to be b. What if there was $200 in the main pot and $2 in the side pot. With option a. you could therefore only bet $2!

It is definitely b.

Re: Did i handle the ladies correctly?

I would have thought thought if he was semi bluffing with a flush/straight draw he would have raised more to try to pick up the pot on the flop

The raise seems small to me like he has a strong...

Re: QQ, need help with pot control

I think i would bet again on the river here. Its very unlikely MP has you beat.

Cant see anyone playing a 4 that way considering the pre flop action.

MP would surely bet TT or 88 and also...

Re: I never make an out and out blind steal.

I started to focus on stealing the blinds more often from the CO and button with any 2 cards. I play $50 NL and it seems to work more often then not and if you get called a pot size bet on the flop...

Do you think he will call the push on the turn unless he improves in which case he will be winning?

I think i would push there

Re: Preflop laydown - KK

Of course you can lay this down if you are 80% sure they have Aces.

It depends on a number of things whether or not you can be 80% sure though.
Have you seen the player re raise before? Some...

Did i handle the ladies correctly?

I would probably normally re raise pre flop but was planning to check raise the flop if no Ace or King.

Was that the wrong way to play it and was i right to fold this?
