Question to the Pros re: Percentages of hitting your Outs???

I read in a book (cant remember which one) that you can use a quick method to give you a very rough idea of your % of hitting.

Basically on the flop you multiply your no of outs by 4 to give the % chance of hitting by the river

On the turn you multiply by 2.2 to give the % chance of hitting on the river


For example if you have 9 outs on the flop you can quickly tell that it is approximatly 36% to hit by the river.

Its not entirely accurate but it works well enough
