Re: bluff gone horribly right... river decision
i can't see you being ahead here...I think the best you can hope for is a split and that isn't likely IMO. I'd fold.

Re: bluff gone horribly right... river decision
I fold. I think you're splitting at best here. You've only invested $20. I don't see calling $40 to maybe get half of the pot back as a very favourable situation.

Re: bluff gone horribly right... river decision
What's you read on the villain? Would he make this move with 2pr? Does he like to draw to his overcards? What's your table image? If the conditions are right this is a call for me.

Re: bluff gone horribly right... river decision
Looks like you got the ass end of it. I fold.
Your bets on the flop and turn are weeeeeeeak and accomplish very little. He could have easily called that flop bet w/ the better gutshot. On the turn, if you're ahead, you're not getting enough value, and if you're behind, you're not going to figure out where you are. I've seen 3xBB consistently work as a steal at 25/50 NL, but does it at 1/2? |

Please no -dont get involved with bad hands- replies. Thanks. [/ QUOTE ] Im thinking that the next line is Villian turns over JTs for the Jack high straight. Fold. There are about 20 things he could be holding that beat you. |

Re: bluff gone horribly right... river decision
You should make a bigger bet on the flop to pick it up there.
I think i would call the river. It just seems like a bet that wants you to fold to me. You havent really been betting big on flop or turn which gives off some weakness and would a 10 high str8 go all in rather then maybe bet $15 - $20 to try and win a bit more? I say call |

Re: bluff gone horribly right... river decision
Bet more on the flop.
On the turn, either make a real bet (and probably fold to any more action), or check behind (you have a decent hand now) if you think it might induce a river bluff. |
