I did fold, but I had a sense that he was pulling a bluff based on his image and punishing 3 limpers.

After thinking more and more and this hand, I decided to calculate the odds to see if the odds dedicate a call.
blinds and antes: 14,500
Hero raised 9000 plus BB's call 9000 = 23,500
BB raising...

how can you say surley beat? I can see the fold from the point where you dont want to risk your tourney. But that is an ideal position for the bb to bluff.
