Gyspsy had just moved to the table so no reads or any idea how he plays. I didn't push preflop because A) I have no idea how he plays B)If I do have to fold, I will still have a decent amount of chips

When the flop hit he instantly went all in. If any of you were in this situation, would you assume he was simply bluffing and call?

Tough call...I would say his pre-flop raise indicates a strong hand...going all in with 3d says he doesnt have the flush and doesnt want any other diamond to come on board to counterfeit his hand. It could also be a semi-bluff having the Ad.
I would say fold. Not a good situation to put your tourney on the line.

With 14 big blinds, I would have been very compelled to push pre-flop here. However, I don't hate the call, as long as you are willing to play strong on the flop.

Yes, a 3-to-a-flush is scary. However, his bet probably means he doesn't want to see the turn. He could reasonably have.

10/10
J/J
K/K
A/A
AK (one diamond)
AQ (one diamond)

If he already has the flush and is betting his hand this way, more power too him. I really doubt it though.

Depending on the player, you could add 99, 88 and AJ (with a diamond). I don't have a good handle on running the math on this sort of thing, but I think against this range, you are ahead. Deeper stacks you could fold, but not when you are this shallow. I think (but I'm no expert; hopefully someone like that will reply) you have to call here and hope no Ace or diamond falls.

BTW. If one of your queens was a diamond you should insta-call. IMHO.

I don't hate the fold post flop, but I think you have to push this harder preflop. You have the third best starting hand and you have fold equity, so I'd use it here. If you had AA or KK, I *might* smooth call, but QQ are too vulnerable in my opinion. I'd reraise to 20K, if not push.
