Hey, if you're going to check the turn you should fold the river if you're beat. Any hand you beat should expect to get to the showdown by checking. Pot odds be damned.

Shhh.. The board could be 2-A-A-A-A, and there are people on this forum who will call down with their pocket deuces because "the pot is laying me 20:1, I can't fold."
They would rather have 0 chips than 1000 chips because, "the pot is too big." or "i put too much in there." Don't throw good money after bad.. I finished 2nd in a 2000 entry multi once when I was down to 600 chips, 50-100 blinds.. I had Top Pair, Second Best Kicker, but with the action on the end I knew I was beaten.. I folded with 5000 pot with only 600 chips left.. I came back to finish 2nd. Never give up! A chip and a chair! |
