Say you have AKo...

JJ flops set

I'm new to no-limit, so I'm just looking for feedback on how I played this hand. Villian has only 20 hands in and has yet to play a hand, so no read other than tight.

Where did I f up?

As a preface, let me say that I am normally a limit player. This is the first time that I have EVER played in a no limit ring game. I only started playing this because I've been on a major dive...

Re: how loose can you play on the flop?

Thanks for the reply, but I really am looking for more of a concept here. I know my specifics are lax, but isn't there a more concret point where a call is good/bad?

Lets take extreme examples to...

how loose can you play on the flop?

I have no hand to use as an example, so I'll just lay out a scenario. My main question here is how close do you stick to pot odds when deciding when to call a flop raise.

Lets assume you are on...

Re: What would you do?

Ya, pretty much what I expected...like I said, I don't play tournies often (maybe 3 this year), so I figured I f'ed up the play.

I raised to 5K to try to knock him out, but he called. Flop gave...

What would you do?

I rarely play in tournaments, so I think I may have misplayed a very important hand I received late in the tournament. Tell me what you would do in the following situation.

You've made the final...

First hand posting

This is probably pretty straight forward, but I seem to have a habit of holding onto hands longer than I should, so I thought I'd put this up for input.

Re: 77, just calling

Am I the only won who folds this pre-flop? Capped before the bet even reaches me? I gotta put someone on something higher than middle pair.
