Re: AQo acsheeeee ohhhhhhhh NNNN 20/40 game.
I can't see you getting out a better hand with a raise. I don't think you have the best hand here either. Therefore, just call. You can reevalute on the river.
Either that or ask Stella to...

Re: ugly hand - big pot
I can't decide which is worse, the flop bet or the posters that are defending it.
Just check and hope you can draw for 1 bet.

Re: 40-80 88 hand
I see no value in the river bet. What is he going to call with that you beat?

What is my next move?

Check and call. He could have flopped a set or a straight. I don't think middle 2 pair is a hand you want to cap every street with. (Yes, I...

Re: A7o, well played?
I think you misread the preflop action. He 3 bet and then checked to me on the flop.

I agree, only hands that even slightly make sense re the coldcall are 98 /images/graemlins/heart.gif and TT. Tough to put someone on T6 or T7 here. I still probably don't cap the river,...

A7o, well played?
10/20 6 max at Party. Folded to me and I raise with A7o from the cutoff. A super loose player 3 bets it from the SB. He sees lots of flops (VP$IP > 80%) and raises and re-raises with his good...

Barron,
No matter how you try to theorize it, 2+2 still equals 4. /images/graemlins/tongue.gif

Re: Difference between PP 5/10 and 10/20 short
you dont have a $9k BR in case you lose 9k. you keep a BR so that if/when you hit a big downswing, you dont have to drop down in games.
I understand this, that's not what I was saying. I was...

9K definitely does not guarantee going broke at the 10-20 even for a good player.

Re: A Confession
I think the play is profitable because I have a tight image. If I was a maniac in other positions, I would get no respect. I steal the blinds frequently and if I'm called, I am usually able to take...

Re: A Confession
That's kind of funny. I do something similar. When I have the button, I cover up my hand and if it gets folded to me I play the whole hand blind unless I run into resistance. I steal alot, but I...

Re: Call this river? fold the turn?

I think if you're going to continue past the turn raising is your best play, with the intent that that's the last BB of yours that goes into the pot.

Re: am i supposed to be folding here?
I call down the way you played it.
I prefer to check the turn and call 1 bet on the turn and 1 bet on the river. If the turn checks around I bet the river.
