Re: My worst hand of the night.... just how stupid am I?

One last thing. In late position with a pair, I would have made a standard raise preflop to $1 about half the time, just to take control of the hand.

This does two things. First your opponents are...

Re: My worst hand of the night.... just how stupid am I?

It's an interesting hand.

Maybe the problem is that you called the whole way and never took the lead.

I like to raise on the flop when I hit an open ended draw to get the free card. I'm not...

Re: 1-2nl 100max live

I think your flop bet was too small. Betting only 20 encourages any decent draw to stay in the hand, which makes me nervous when holding AA. I'd bet around 40-50 on the flop.

I like your raise on...

Re: bet how much on river?

I would bet half the pot to maximize the chance he calls. This also gives him a chance to come over the top of you if he wants to get fancy.

Which \'TV Pros\' are really broke?

Negreanu made a statement I think in one of his blog entries that I found facinating. He said that many of the so-called TV pros are actually broke, are getting staked in the tournaments you see them...

So far EVERYBODY in the poll won, except me.

I'm suspicious.

Pretty much every big-time poker player will admit to going broke several time during his or her lifetime, especially when they...

Re: I\'ve been playing for about a year, how bad am I?

The consensus seems to be that Poker Tracker is an essential tool. I've heard of Poker Tracker, but I'm not using it. I'll definately take a look at it and see what it can do for me.

By the way,...
