I\'ll be on the kiddie tables for a long time ??
So I gave 1/2 NL a shot tonight. I found a 1/2 NL game with 60 % VPIP for the table. Seemed very good. I was all ready. I had been tearing up the .10/25 NL and .25 / .50 NL games. Everything went pretty typical and then the damage came. I called a raise with 66 preflop and hit a 6 on this flop
flop: 6 7 9 Dumbass me didn't raise on the flop. 4 others saw the flop. Crazy game. Turn: 8 Now I'm [censored] I call the $20 raise since the pot was $70. I still had 10 outs. No help. I [censored] lost my mind after this. Got back up to within $50 down and just [censored] lost it. I've cashed out from that site. Every god damn 10 handed game degenerates into a freaking 6 max NL game with 4 extra seats. Bullshit. I'm threw with that. I'll [censored] 4 table .10/.25 NL for the rest of my life. That was the first time I had lost for a week. The thing was that the game was so different than most games I sit down on so I wasn't ready to switch from weak tight to Tight aggressive. It was strange. I had perfected my style for .10/.25 NL and .25/.50 NL and then all of a sudden I'm on a table full of players that can actually fold on the flop. 1/2 NL is a [censored] game of who's got the biggest nut sac. no thanks |

say what?
If you lost your mind from a hand that doesn't even justify as a bad beat, maybe you're not ready to move up yet? |

Wow. You lost $20 in a single hand.
I guess it's time for you to give up poker. |

Today in the news...
TheRedPill (NYSE: TRP) stock tumbled 25% on bad beat projections.... Analysts opinions are slipping. It might be too late for a comeback.... In other news... -Gryph |

Re: I\'ll be on the kiddie tables for a long time ??
a week ago you're posting a win rate for less than a thousand hands at 25NL, and today you're playing 200NL? horrible bankroll management.
1. establish a win rate at a level, any level (1500 hands doesn't count) 2. build your bankroll to an appropriate size before moving up (10-30 buy ins is common advice i see) 3. move up one level at a time so you don't flip out on message boards when you lose 1/4 of a buy in. if it seems like a lot of money, you're playing way too high |

Re: I\'ll be on the kiddie tables for a long time ??
Jumping 2 levels for a buy-in does wonders for the attitude when you drop back to where you belong. After seeing the pots at 200NL, the $2 call on the river at 25NL should look like pocket change.

Re: I\'ll be on the kiddie tables for a long time ??
This is not always good for your game, though, guys. It leads people to make bad calls because the money doesn't seem like anything anymore. It is like when the high-rollers play at the 25NL 2+2 games. They have zero concept for rational play because the money is meaningless.

Re: I\'ll be on the kiddie tables for a long time ??
Is it April 1st again already?
Seriously though, move up when you're properly bankrolled, without skipping levels. This wasn't a bad beat, you played the hand poorly, and it wasn't even a large pot. Move up when you're ready, and judging from this post, that will be a long, long time from now, if ever. I still don't understand why you cashed out, does the site cease to offer the NL 25 games you're going back to? |
