Re: Lowstakes limit O/8--Crapshoot? (Low content-high frustration)

Rosie...

I play low-limit O8/B as well and what you wrote in your post is almost exactly what I think each and everytime I play.

The one thing that has helped me get over the insane beats at...

Other Stud Books Besides 7csfap

Has anyone read "Winning 7-Card Stud" by Ashley Adams or "How to Beat Low-Limit 7-Card Stud" by Paul Kammen? I was looking to expand my stud library, but I'm wondering if these two books will seem...

Re: Stud 8 or Better Question

"At times when you have multiple people trapped in the middle, and your draw comes in, its better than sex."

I read this and for some reason my eyes immediately caught the words "sex" and...

Re: Mike Paulle Sklansky Rip (first post)

Mike Paulle's tournament blogs just make me sad. All I really want to know is chip counts and important hands, instead we get lame puns and random bashes on different players for little reason. ...

Re: PLO/8 SnG - Is this to weak tight?

Not at all. I noticed after logging a lot of hands into PTO that one of my biggest money leaks was automatically playing AAxx hands from EP and MP. I haven't personally found these hands to be...

Re: Which of these hands to you play

20% VP$IP seems low to you? Mine is hovering around 18 and that seems about right. Anyone else have any thoughts on that?

Re: AM I TOO TIGHT???

I don't think you're losing much by doing this, simply because even if you're only playing the premium hands, an extremely high % of the people you play with are never going to pick up on this. they...

Re: Ken Warren

in his omaha book he decides that, instead of teaching you how to play high or high/low, he'll give the barest description of both of them without any extremely useful information.

Re: PLO/8 hand from late last night

why just the overcall? am i missing something (highly likely), but i don't think anyone is calling the BB w/66 in their hand, so barring the straight flush he has the high locked. If the other...

Re: Best single game for determination of heads-up skill?

I don't see anyway that a less skilled player could beat a talented Stud 8/B player over time, and the limit structure would reduce quick all-in suckouts. Other than that I'd have to agree with...

Re: PLO/8 hand from late last night

If it's checked around on the flop they could both have good low hands and just be wanting to get a cheap oppurtunity to see if a low draw develops, or to try and hit a flush draw. Since both the...

Re: Hi-Lo, Ante Structure and Super System

The low-limit Stud games at Party are painful. If you play mostly Stud games switch to any other site ASAP and you'll be able to wait for the starting hands you'd prefer.

Re: Did I Play This Right?

I think it's just your standard start well and brick out hand, but it was the first hand I played today and I hate starting in the hole so I wanted to make sure there's nowhere I release this hand.
