I'm not going to post the hand history to this hi/lo atrocity. Only this.
(AA)A456(9) (KT)28TT(2) 3rd street he raised and I reraised. 4th I bet and he called. 5th-7th street were all capped. I'm going to go cry now. Someone console me please. |

That is pretty funny dude. My favorite is that pretty much the entire deck gave you part of the pot on the end and you bricked up, and he caught runner runner runner to beat you....hahahaha...I am sorry, that really really sucks...

Ouch...that really is a bummer. Just remember that guy's name and sit at his table every time...doesnt look like it would be too much longer before you have every dime of that back. What a horrible play on his part...

That has to be shuffled...not that it makes it much better [/ QUOTE ] Like you said, that doesn't make it much better. Even if the K and the 2 were shuffled, the guy raised into an A up on 3rd with split 2's and a 10 kicker in hi lo. And he capped 5th with a crappy 2-pair looking at a board that has wheel potential written all over it. Sometimes, there is no justice. |

I am 3-4 lifetime with (AA)A. The most brutal of the losses came on a somewhat similar hand. In a five-handed $30/60 stud/8 game, I started with rolled-up Aces, and caught low cards on fourth, fifth, and sixth. I blanked off on the river, and lost to a King-high straight in a heads-up pot. My opponent on that hand doesn't play high-low anymore.

I have a rule that I don't show any emotion when someone inflicts a bad beat on me at a table. No getting on the chat and calling him an idiot. However, I may have made an exception for this case. Were you able to keep your cool after this happened? My condolences, thats for sure.

I feel your pain. "If" it makes you feel any better...
been getting hammered like this for 2-3 weeks straight now. 2 examples from a few days ago... (Kd 9d)Ad 7d 6d Qh Jh (9s 5h)Kh Ah 2s 8h 9h the 8h beats me.... and the guy is trying to bluff me on 4th street with four bets!! and then bets into me on 5th and calls a raise. (8s Ah)8c Ad 8h 6s 10d (5d 5c)9c 4c 7d 5s 5h raise raise raise bust After three weeks of this at 5-10, 3-6 at Party, almost 3k worth, I quit playing. The psychological effect of getting repeatedly beat like this is well...tough to handle. Started thinking the software had me marked....and you know it's time to quit when you start thinking that way. Depressing. I guess one lesson is to leave a larger bankroll, I was cashing at 2500 and leaving a 1500 bankroll. I have discovered this is not enough for 5-10, as I believe my play changed when the bankroll got low. |
