Hey guys, I've been lurking for a while but this is my first post. Thought people might get a kick out of this.

Mike Paulle on Sklansky in the WPT Championship blog:
"Gary Furness asked me to comment on David Sklanksy's tournament style. I'd like to, but David seems to have learned to play tournament poker from Mike Caro. Neither of them make the money very often. I'll have to try and get someone to comment who's played with him today."

I'm seriously not sure I understand what you mean? I figured the the right way to enter the forum was to introduce myself and try to contribute something. I thought this would make a decent first post, since the Caro/Sklansky issue seems to have come up before. If I made a mistake, then I apologize.

This guy can't even flame some he thinks is a troll very well. 45 people left and he is in the Top 30? (FYI he is 27th) I think pointing out he is still around in the final 45 is good but to try and say being in the Top 30 out of 45 in chips is kind of silly. Like Raymer is in the Top 31 of the 45 left. Top 10,, Top 15 yeah.. even Top 20 (upper half) maybe but stretching it to 30 out 45 is a looong reach.

Nothing wrong with the post at all some people on here just worship S&M so much they take offense at anything less then that.

David is pretty short stacked right now. He really needs to double up and then tripple that.

Mike Paulle's tournament blogs just make me sad. All I really want to know is chip counts and important hands, instead we get lame puns and random bashes on different players for little reason. Whether you love or hate Sklansky and Caro, you can't argue the positive impact they've had on the growth/theory/teaching of poker. For Paulle to criticize their play seems close to writer jealousy to me. I just don't understand why PokerPages chose Paulle as their main tournament blogger, but I'm glad Cardplayer.com is now offering better, more frequent and less inane tournament updates.

Plus, call it unbiased stereotyping, but everytime I see his picture I think serial killer. [img]/images/graemlins/wink.gif[/img]

My intention was to get something to the effect of Mike Caro/Mike Paulle are clowns going. I'm a Sklansky reader/fan, I'd take this thing down now if I could.
