Re: Should I quit? 35k hands at 1/2 and still breaking even..Stats in

My guess is you are beat with JJ. A check on the river would've/may have saved you a bet.

Have enjoyed and learned a lot from this thread. Thanks for bringing it to us.

Re: Odds of the mother of all bad beats please

Re: Books on Statistics

I recently picked up a used copy of Freund, John," Modern Elementary Statistics", tenth edition, for the same motivation. I find it refreshingly easy to comprehend so far. Give a look.

My response to Absolute 4 days ago.
Hello:
Thought you may be interested in my reason for a partial cashout. It's very straight forward-I can only barely abide the slow interface. Really, it's...

Re: good fold?

I think it's a good fold. Losing with high and low two pair is almost a way of life for me. I seldom get em right.

Re: Party is rigged

Funny! But had to comment on the last sentence. I was in a micro game last night where pocket aces appeared in the same hand four times in 20 minutes. Yikes! Anyone else been in a game with such a...

Re: Stuck?

Thanks, will work harder on these things. I find that I'm often too intimidated by the pending buzzer to slow down on my "out" counting so that's something to get beyond.

Are there internet poker sites with software exclusively for Macintosh? I know about Virtual PC is supposed to work but would prefer Mac designed stuff. Thanks.

Re: I NEED A PROBABILTY LESSON

I think I read in a Phil Gordon book that the "rule of four" will give you a quick approximation. Thus multiply your outs by four to get your answer. In your case you had three outs x 4 =12 (that's...
