Re: Canterbury 30/60 Trying to clean up outs

I don't like your play on any street.

PREFLOP I would fold. Your hand is too easily dominated if it was suited I would call. However, you are closing the action so if it is a mistake it is not...

Re: Worst 3rd card in Pineapple

Hey,

I'd take A.

The benefit of an additional possible low draw outweighs the loss of one flush card.

Does the answer change based on this info?

My buddy knows I will automatically bet this flop 100% of the time with any hand I raised with preflop.

Re: Why EV Only?

I understand what you are getting at but there is no such strategy.

Although you could win 1 big bet per hour playing optimally with some amount of risk imagine a strategy that would let you win...

Listen, you can play with whatever strategy you want.

But you asked why most poker books focus on EV only and the reason is that most players want to know how to make the most money possible...

Is this because if the game was passive then there is less of a chance of your blinds getting raised if you came into the game in the big blind?

Re: I hate how I played this

I don't think the flop check is fine. The pot is very big, everyone checked to us and the flop is not very dangerous. I think this screams for a bet.

BTW, would you check-call a single bet on...

Re: What are you doing with small-middle pockets late?

You only have chips equal to 8x the big blind and you would fold 77 or AJ in early or mid position. Isn't that crazy? You will be blinded out in no time if you keep passing hands like this.

Re: What are you doing with small-middle pockets late?

You only have 8x the BB. I would push all-in with 44 or 77 or AJ in this spot.

Re: Davids \"Right Play\"

I think a straight draw is unlikely. Calling a pot-sized bet with 4 players yet to act behind him with a gutshot draw is not a play a tough player would make too often.

Our tough opponent's play...

Hey,

Why do you think our opponent has any two cards? It is very clear that he does not have any two cards.

Re: 5K Taj tourney. Early hand where I got put to the test

Hey,

How much exactly did your opponent push all-in for? Do you have the J of hearts? If your decision is a close one wouldn't these details matter?

Later,
JM

Re: Push All-In

Why must you lose all of your chips if tough player "hits?"
