Default Posting Blinds: Do I have this right?

Hey,

I was at the Bellagio in December playing $15/$30 ($15 big blind and $10 small blind) and I want to make sure I am making the right choices with regards to posting when joining the game.

Best choice is to post in the CO. Second best choice is to come in in the big blind. Worst choice is to "post in between." Is this correct for 8-10 handed games? What about 6 or 7 handed?

For $8/$16 game with $4 and $8 blinds:

At 10 handed it is a toss-up whether you post in CO or not. 9 handed definitely come right into big blind. Never post in between. Is this correct?

Posting in between is superior to posting both blinds. In fact, I know some who think posting in between is superior to posting in the cutoff, but I disagree.
