Party poker has obviously upgraded. The most notable change is that you can now play more than 4 tables (i experimented and had 10 up at one point). The next is that they randomly dump a screen...

Re: Question for experience pros...

Your...

Re: ? outs and %win at river

So how specifically does the math change? 9/47 chance of hitting a flush on the turn. IF I hit, than I have a100% chance of hitting the flush by the river. My question really is how to accurately...

? outs and %win at river

I've been reading a lot of books, but I still can't get something. If I have an ace high flush draw, 9 outs, thats approximately 20% to hit on the turn, 35% by the river (all the books tell me). I...

Counting outs - Compared with Simulator

For example, say you have and ideal 16 out st8 draw to the nuts, I.E: TJQK, Flop: 89Ax. I would think this is 16 outs to the nuts. 16/45=35% to hit on the turn, 16/44=36%R; or about 70% to hit...

the name sounds familiar. But what does that have to do with the price of tea in China? And furthermore, where did you get my name from? Not that it matters...

Re: I\'m still losing at o8

Actually, I've been playing money 08 for two months, and probably a year before that in play money sites following a surgery. So I feel like I've learned most of what I will ever learn, save for...

Re: Frowny face O8 hand

I guess I'm confused. What type of hand would the opponent think he limped in with on the first betting round?

Depending on what position he's in, I forgot if it was mentioned, he couldn't rule...

I\'m still losing at o8

I'm facing a problem that probably isn't unique only to me, although I will at least admit it. I play poker for money, albeit low limit money. Previously I've always played tournament holdem or...

Re: O8 hand for review

The first mistake, in my opinon, is not to raise the flop. You have the nut low draw, and aside from a2, a3, or 23 turn/river, uncounterfeitable. So 16 cards bring you low nuts, 16/45 + 16/44, or...

Reply to Buzz

Basically, you post comes down to the difference between implied odds and pot odds, which is what I was describing as a difference between profitably betting and profitably calling. Same thing,...

Re: So mathematically, I should never raise without the nuts?

I'm not saying I don't play draws, obviously calling with nut flush draws is profitable from a pot odds point of view, but according my my math presented above, it doesn't make sense to raise a nut...

So mathematically, I should never raise without the nuts?

I’ve sat down and calcuted a simple table for pot odds so I could reference it while playing online. What the numbers seem to be saying to me is that I should never be betting on a draw hand, even if...
