Re: How long is the \"long run\"?
I won $2000 in $60,000 hands. My total poker winning are $6000. I was playing $5/10 prior and won $4000. I dropped down after a huge swing.
I wrote $8000 but it was an error.

The other point is that in the book SSH it states that making $50,000 is no big deal. No big deal and the long run is very long...

I think I would have folded the turn when i did not improve. But i am learning to not fold in big pots. I think you played it okay. Tuff hand. Crying call on river. Did he have J9?

Re: 3 bet by a TAG preflop - what\'s your plan?
I'm a TAG and i 3 bet 10's and J's, in this case you have odds to see the turn. 8.5 small bets if he bets (and he will) you only need 7 to 1 to call with over cards. If he is the type that would only...

Re: Cold calls from the BB
If it is one bet more to you it is not considered cold calling. If its 2 bets to you that would be considered a cold call and you probably should have 9's or 10's or better.

Re: another boring overcard hand
why are you raising the flop? I would just call w/ overcards (no backdoor flush possible) getting 8.5 to 1 odds to call profitably w/ over cards (needs 7 to 1 odds).
I think 3 betting is wasting a...
