Re: BB special pairs on monotone flop...
I would fold this flop. Everyone that saw the flop got something that interested them or they would fold in a heartbeat (unless they are really loose). I think best case scenario you are behind...

Re: AQo meets resistance - How would you play it
A LPP might limp with a wide range of hands. The best you could possibly hope for here is you are up against A9 or AQ. I don't see (unless someone really liked QJ of spades) you being ahead or...

Re: Absolute poker
I've found that the full tables seem to be particularly tight, but the short tables usually offer some good action later at night. You can usually find two or more bad players at these tables.

Re: Why do I always get these boards?
Bet the flop and pray he has an ace or something. Most times you will end up going to the river anyway, but getting cute with big hands against bad players is a mistake.
Unless he is a maniac,...

Re: bad blind defense stand?
A good guideline is to defend you blinds often enough so that a player that simply raised everytime you were in the blind would not automatically show profit. For example, if you fold 2 out of every...

Re: bad blind defense stand?
I think with a couple other players in on the flop and it is only 1 to you in the BB it is ok to call and try and get lucky at a loose table, but HU? 7/5, suited or not, is not a good hand.
As...

Re: Slow played and lost
I like the way you played this hand. I wouldn't bet this flop a majority of the time, since you are way ahead of most hands and are hoping a hand like AK, AQ etc catches a pair or draw so you can...

Re: AA vs. the world
I was confident in my reads which is why i decided to fold here despite the faint hope that an A on the turn would gain me a monster pot. I thought i could be up against a made straight as well,...

AA vs. the world

Re: Folding on river with a set???
If you were going to fold to a raise, why not check/call? You are first to act and have already been called twice by two players. You are pretty heavily invested to fold to just 1, but I might...
