Re: AK suited vs. ridiculous overbet...Super Monday

[ QUOTE ]
Or you could say that as they limped.. they have small pocket pairs or suited connectors, therefore you can take potential cards out the deck, meaning you are even MORE likely to hit your...

Re: AK suited vs. ridiculous overbet...Super Monday

I didn't read the rest of the replies, but isn't something to consider the fact that UTG+1 and UTG+2 (original callers) are holding some of your outs. Wouldn't they be calling an UTG raise with A-Q,...

Re: Early in Stars nighttime 20+2

For sure, someone has you beat at the flop. The raise is okay, to see where you stand on the hand, but I'm 99.9999% sure you're behind this after the re-raise.

I would have folded this...

Re: Time to make a move on the Bubble w/ A9o

Was he raising consistently like this in early position? Or were his raises coming mostly from middle to late position?

If he were raising in early position and you've seen him show down rags,...

I assume you mean 50K.

Given that he can call a push without crippling himself, I like calling preflop. ...

Re: 2 Situations from $22 Rebuy on Stars

1. Admittedly, a hole in my game. I mix up my raises between 2.5 and 4x on the button, and I think it's because I just don't want to be predictable. I did fold.

2. Button had me outchipped...

Re: $200 WPT Foxwoods Satellite, Final Table

Does a push in this spot ever signify weakness?

I would push by the way.

2 Situations from $22 Rebuy on Stars

1) About 70 people left, top 45 get paid. I'm sitting in 18th-19th place. I have 36000 or so in chips. Blinds are 1000/2000 + ante. Folded to me in the button with Kc-9c. I raise to 8000. ...

11 players left, I'm interested in 1st place primarily. Been playing tight solid throughout. All blind steals without a real big hand have worked preflop, so I've only shown down good...

Re: How badly did I play this?

If it's so tight, I wouldn't play 4-4 from such an early position.

Also, I don't think I'm calling his all-in raise either. Again, if the play is so tight, your very best case scenario is that...

Pot Odds Situation

This situation comes up A LOT, especially in multi table tournaments.

I understand the concept of pot odds in regards to how many outs I need to have a "made hand" vs. how much it's going to...

Re: Opinions on this satellite bubble push

I'm curious to hear what people think about this.

At first you say you think he's got between 77 and AA. That's 4 hands that have you beat right now. You did not discount this when calling with...

Push.
Get heads up with the button. If you're lucky, he raised with K-J or K-10 or something of that nature.

It's a $5 rebuy. Gotta raise here. Isolate against one or two opponents and you're looking at being ahead going to the flop.

Ordinarily, in a non re-buy I'd probably check here also. But my...

Do you fold in this spot?

About 70 left in the PS 20+2 Rebuy. We have about 55K and in about 15th place. Top 45 pay.

Dealt Ad-Kd in MP. Blinds are 300/600. Raise to 1800.
Next to act is a new guy to the table. He's...
