Re: How to play this AK?

I would fold here. If the BB is as much of a rock as you are depicting here, he is already way ahead of you. Maybe he's pushing with TT or lower, but I put him more on QQ, AQ, AJ or KJ.

I...

Re: Party\'s WSOP NL MTT Qualifier 6th hand... KK

I misread the betting order here. Edit respone below:

I'd put villain on 66 drawing to the open ended straight before putting him on the backdoor flush. Definitely bet the river, maybe $200 or...

Re: Party WSOP ($300 + $28) Question

Sorry to hear about the near miss. I can't imagine a tougher finish that that - I hope you bounce back and win a seat next time.

As far as the hand goes, I would have probably played it the same...

Re: Flop two pair out of SB - Put all in on flop

I'm wondering what Villain puts you on with your C/R - if I'm him I'm thinking flopped set, overpair or possibly a semi-bluff with overcards. Since he overbet the pot, I don't think he has a set or...

Re: AJ Steal?

I would push here as well. You are in EP, so the blinds are coming your way soon and you have only 7.5 BB in your stack. The pot is already about 6k and with the table tightening up this close to...

Re: Possible trend, Anyone else notice this?

El Rey Del Mundos are indeed excellent, Mike, but my personal preference is the Arturo Fuente Hemmingway. In any case, your taste in cigars is obviously superb and thank you for the validation of my...

Re: RESULTS and a Thought

Hard to toss QQ here, that thinking might be too results oriented. Stealing had been successful for you in this tourny, but would you really rather do that than hit a big hand once in a while?

Re: Big Stack on the bubble

First of all, villain probably folds to the all-in bet which virtually guarantees Hero 4000 chips. That's the bird in the hand.

Even though I do think I'm a 4-1 favorite here, it could be as...

Re: Big Stack on the bubble

I think you push. You are only behind to AA and KK, and with those hands villian would not have discouraged future action with such a large raise. You are probably 80:20 to his lower pair, and even...

Re: Possible trend, Anyone else notice this?

I've noticed it, too, and I have even engaged in that practice from time to time. The reason for this is that I have also noticed that standard raising at this stage of a tournament often wins me...

Re: need advice, frustrating live tourney

There was probably no better way for you to have played THIS tournament, given the cold cards that you got all night. However, poker is a game that requires you to consider the long run, and over...

Re: *Official* Party Friday Special

Moved to table 40, 1650 in chips.

Doubled up w/KQc vs 99 when Q fell on the river - lucky!

Re: Flopped flush, help please

You might have played this a little timidly. CO has the bully stack and might just be trying to push you around with a reasonable pair or a nut flush draw (AsKx or something like that). I really...

Cash in PP Freeroll possible?

Anyone been to Galaxy in NYC lately?

Last time I was there it was pretty dead - I'm just wondering if the Monday tournament still runs and how many players they get.

Re: Dealing with the swing that breaks tthe bank

My thoughts exactly - in this case the opponent played the hand perfectly, including the flop raise.

While this is not at all a bad beat, I can sympathize with the original poster a bit. It...
