Flop two pair out of SB - Put all in on flop
First level of a late night Party $33. I am down to 830 chips, main villian (button) in this hand has 1100.
I am dealt 43o in the SB w/ blinds of 10/15. 5 limpers to me, I call, BB checks and seven see the flop for a pot of 105. Flop is 5 4 3, rainbow. I decide to check and see what action develops (I'm not sure if my plan will be to C/R, call or fold here.) checked around to the button who bets 125. I think about my options and decide to C/R him to shut everyone else out of the pot. I raise to 300. Folded to button who thinks for about 10 seconds and pushes. I don't have any reads on him, I just got moved. Call? Fold? Can I take any other line here? |

call. he might have you beat, but you have live outs against his straight. He might even have just 66

Re: Flop two pair out of SB - Put all in on flop
I'm wondering what Villain puts you on with your C/R - if I'm him I'm thinking flopped set, overpair or possibly a semi-bluff with overcards. Since he overbet the pot, I don't think he has a set or a straight, he'd probably play it a little slower than that.
So, I think Villain has an overpair or something like A5 and puts you on the semi-bluff raise. He probably thinks he has the best hand now but knows it is vulnerable and doesn't particularly want a call. Therefore, I would call the all-in here. Villain could have Acey-deucey or 76s, but even if he flopped the straight you have a few outs to your boat or a split pot. |
