Re: I set up a sick turn check-raise...

It sure does look like the semi-maniac is on 77+, I dunno, I probably fold too.

Re: I feel like I took this like 40 times today and it didn\'t work onc

The way you played this hand I would fold on the river. If the board was more drawy on the flop I would consider calling assuming the rest of the cards were safe.

Re: Ugh times 3.

I fold this on the flop against an unknown, probably CR against an aggressor.

Re: I feel like I took this like 40 times today and it didn\'t work onc

In hand 1 I would bet again on the turn, there are lots of hands he would peel this flop with. In hand 2 I would check-fold the turn bare no other reads, I just can't see him call this flop with...

Re: A Rare Ace Hi Call Down for Me

I would raise the flop instead of the turn to knock BB out, saving me 0.5BB if I'm wrong.

Re: how bads this?

I would just call this down, the only draw i could see him bet is the flushdraw, and the ace is not so likely since he limped in.

Re: value bet? from small blind facing 3 opponents

I raise this preflop 100% of the time, and play it from there.

Re: Getting ganked by the E is a lesson...

UTGs line is very odd here, but I'd probably fold this river out of confusion.

Re: 99 large pot...

I would 3-bet this preflop and probably play it the same way postflop

Re: Action when checked to

I always valuebet this, so many draws/whacked hands he could be betting with.

Re: Tough river. Can I fold this HUGE pot???

If BB is aware that button is a chronic riverbluffer then he's probably raising a much wider range of hands to make you and/or SB to fold a better hand.

Re: possible difference between players at different levels

Strong players recognize your tendencies, if you only checkraise with draws and complete bluffs on the flop they will pick up on that so I guess it wouldn't work. You should however mix it up against...

Re: Straight forward stats question

iirc i played 2/4 and 3/6 SH with a vpip of 19-20~. I was a very marginal winner and it helped a lot when i loosened up. Sure it's possible to win being that tight but it's nowhere near optimal.

"+EV river cap?" Your question is +EV river 3-bet, and I think it is no, given no reads

Re: TT hand

I call the turn raise and check/call river unimproved. I also 3-bet this preflop.

Re: An ace..on the button

After two orbits I can tell he plays way too many hands after some whacky showdowns and is quite aggressive.

Re: An ace..on the button

Well, considering he's in the BB and there's one caller and one limper I'd say Ax, Kx, Qxs, connected hands etc. So quite a wide range.

Re: An ace..on the button

This is a fairly standard raise for me. I'm always happy when I catch a pair against a LAG+ and I always isolate them when the conditions are right.

An ace..on the button

Played two orbits with villain, he seemed quite loose and aggressive.
