Re: Is NL more addictive than limit?
I'd say no-limit can definitely be more addictive. Its much more of a gambling game than limit, as you're oftentimes put to some very tough decisions, and the higher risk and the bigger pots can...

Re: My Nemesis - AJo
[ QUOTE ]
Why is raising the flop standard? This is a way ahead or way behind situation on the flop (ie someone has a 6). I'd prefer to make a flush draw or dominated Ax pay more on the turn.

Re: Stud picking up new players?
Yeah. I think its a logical extension of the growth of Hold 'em. With hold 'em growing wildly popular these days, its only logical that some of that will overlap into other games.
I myself first...

Re: My biggest flaw
I really don't like his check on the flop. There are two dangerous draws out there, and while the straight draw isn't a likely scenario with his strong raise, if he knows that you've been making...

Re: Was I destined to go broke on this hand?
I'm very very careful when playing anything but the nut flush. You didn't have much invested in that pot, so I think it was a pretty clear fold when he came over the top of you.

Re: Keeping the pot small. Wha-?
One thing thats also important about pot management is not pricing your opponent in when you're bluffing or defending a made hand against a strong draw. A lot of times a player will know he should...

Re: maintaining aggression in NL
The key is in being able to switch between tight play and looser play.
Keep in mind that you should never be playing passive; play tight, but agressive generally, and to keep opponents on their...

Re: Biggest Pot Won At A Level
Won about a $450 pot in $1-2. Probably the most unreal hand of my life. Was on BB with Qc-4c, everyoned smooth called preflop and I gladly checked for the flop, which came Ac-Kc-10c. I checked,...
