How many 'online pros' do you think there are in the PP 15/30

I got to wondering: how many people do you think play the PP 15/30 full-time. I'm not talking about solid 2+2ers who are students or have real day jobs, and play for a few hours each day after school/work -- i mean people who truly play full-time / professionally as their sole occupation, and put in a solid 35+ hours / week. Based solely on the names that I recognize over and over myself, I'd estimate only around 150-250. Anyone think that number is way too low??

* I'm only talking full-timing 15/30 players -- i'm sure there are probably even more who full-time NL and 200+15 SNGs.
(i'm also considering the fact that most full-timers probably have at least 2 screenames to play more than 4 tables at once).

I think that # is high. There are only a handful of names I see consistently and stay away from. That's what I consider a pro. I have people in the dbase/buddylist who 4 table, but are HORRIBLE. Even though I see them everynight, they are not winning players.

This reminds me of something. Do you guys have players you "respect" and see regularly, then they change their screenname - LOL. Whenever I haven't seen a guy for a week or 2, I figure he's changed his name.

I think your number is a bit high, but then I think about all the people I know who make their living playing online poker and I wonder... Of course not all of them are playing the party 15 but... It could be more than we think.

if you look at the hand histories from pokerhandhistories.com alone, you will see that there are 7353 players with postive win rates ranging from +358 BBs to +.237 BBs. Out of these players, I would say that there are about 6000 full time pros.

That seems a bit high.

I would expect if you were a full-time professional online player you'd more regularly play the 30-60 unless the 30-60 game was too tough or the action was unusally good at the 15-30 level.
