Fold 66 preflop after raising

Party 15-30, I'm MP+2, with 66, suits unimportant. It's
folded to me, I raise, button 3 bets and BB 4 bets. I put at least one on an overpair, the odds at this point are 5:1 on a call and I fold. ...

Re: Is this typical of the 30/60 games on Party?

Its much easier for a reader to decipher the hand when you summarize it or use the hand converter, rather than using the formal hand history. I would suggest reposting this in a simpler format.

Re: The Results

There is no made flush, the possible straight would require a gutshot JT or a 65, no way can you lay down Kings upon the river.

Re: probably a dumb question

A six handed game is little different than a full ring game after the early position players have folded, although it will attract certain players who like to play more hands and somewhat more...

Re: loose game. same as JJ. but now a little different :-)

I liked the preflop raise, but since you raised preflop from the BB I would have led out on the flop. A check here always looks a bit strange, but then with 26 people in the pot, the normal gets...

Re: up a creek...where\'s that damn paddle...JJ

Whenever the decision is that close, I would rather err on the side of the aggressive, thus I would bet (and of course likely be chkrasd).

Re: Giving Too Much Action: Hand 1 (Bellagio 15-30)

I totally concurr. Against this description of player AK with a big club is very likely, and there are many other hands against which you are currently ahead. But the flop is too coordinated to...

Re: 30-60 Turn Decision

Yes, I am succeptible to tilt, and to understand ones own level of tilt greatly helps understand the game, and how to play others. There are many levels of tilt. Math is great, I can make a...

Re: 30-60 Turn Decision

If the math is that close, doesn't the emotion count for something? Would you rather play the rest of the session knowing that you put in two extra bets with a set, or gave up 21 BB by folding a...

Re: A9sooooted 100-200

The river seems like such a great time to check raise, I gather your lead bet is with the intention to reraise. From your many previous posts I am also surprised you didn't check raise the turn.

Re: JTo 100-200

Of what value to anyone is a comment like "poorly played" when the original poster is a skilled daily player in very aggressive high stakes games and posters as insightful as Tommy A find time and...

Re: loose-aggressive strategy

Another strategy is to play your normal game except for KJ and QTo type hands, and repeat 50x a day before retiring, "fluctuation is my friend, if it wasn't for fluctuation there would be no game". ...

Re: Coilean and Dcifrths talk theory...

AA should be better than 50% but essentially we're saying the same thing: in a game where the overall expectation is small and one wins only by multiplying the small advantages over thousands of...

Re: Coilean and Dcifrths talk theory...

Before I try to figure this out mathematically, let me give a blackjack analogy, as the math is similar in many ways, among them that a serious skilled player requires 200-300 big bets to withstand...

Re: AK hand, raise turn?

There are three very logical utg limp hands here that have you behind or drawing almost dead, KJs, QTs or ATo/s. While my initial tendency would be to raise the turn, once seeing these possible...

Re: 96s 100-200

I like every street, and the river call is on auto with so many draws out there. You also played this like a busted draw, which induces a bluff.

Re: Bellagio 30-60 hand

As you raised on the flop, I would certainly expect a hand with trips to check raise you on the turn. As such, I would put him on a weaker King rather than a 3. I think your turn raise is fine....

This hand is similar to a current topic about raising with KQo utg then folding for 4 bets.

Utg+1 limps, I...

Re: Two $15-30 hands that bugged me

Hand #1: bet the turn, call the river.

Hand #2: raise the turn, make him pay with two pair or a set. You are more likely to get action on this street. How he folded the made 2nd nut flush for one...

Re: Pokerstars vs. Party Poker--which one has easier games?

Party has the looser players at the 15-30 level, but the games there also are more aggressive. This combination means that your bankroll is going to fluctuate seriously no matter how well you play. ...

Re: Collusion?

Two things appear to me to work against any collusion.

(1) The heavy action occured on the flop instead of later streets, and the flop had both flush and straight potential. Heavy action here on...
