Perhaps the fact that the button...

Re: California Fish or California Barracudas?

Of course I'm talking long term. Jamming with AQo on the button vs 5 limpers would, I think, require a rather large bankroll, even if some comp sims show it to be +EV.

I know it's generic....

California Fish or California Barracudas?

In other words, welcome to...

Comon Dave it's 49 posts now and I'm having trouble sleeping, just tossin' and turnin' agonizing over how much money I'm leaking just 'cause I don't know the freakin answer!

Re: AQ in BB

"He isnt very aggresive post flop, but plays well and never gives a bet away."

So does that mean that if he's holding 99, he'll fold to a raise if overcards fall on the flop? Or that if he's on...

Re: Simple Question -Tough Answer

Break up the question in two: Suppose the player always raises, period. If that were the case then it would make sense to get more money in the pot with ANY + EV hand, not only low pairs and AKo but...

Simple. Prove it empirically.

Ciaffone and NL starting Hands.

In the book "Pot-Limit and No-Limit Poker" Bob Ciaffone makes the point re NLHE that "If pairs are worth more ...something's got to be worth less. That something is big unsuited cards...AK, AQ, KQ "...

At a NL tourney you contest a hand against only one other opponent. It's relatively early and neither of you is short stacked.

On the turn you make an ace high straigt, rainbow. You put him on a...

Homer Simpson and others covered the ratings lunacy, here's my two cents:

From what you're describing it sounds as if you went all in with KK, other players with Ace rags would call. Hell, it...

Re: Playing .50/1.00 game for experience

If the gods were kinder we'd be in Vegas at a $300-$600 table and the only other players would be those 5-6 people that see the flop with nothing. (Presumably they just got very lucky at Baccarat or...
