Re: Home game controversy - What would you do?

You said since the players were new, "cards-speak".

The flush wins. Dumb luck for a noob. Happens all the time.

ps: wrong forum.

Re: I\'m a LAG at 200 NL Party

I don't think prf% @ 15 defines you as a LAG at all. But I guess betting every street after you raise preflop would seem that you are capable of bluffing alot on the latter streets.

I'm confused...

I was a No-Limit hold'em player, and doing well. I was making about 5.5BB/100 (from poker tracker) + bonus whoring.

After getting bored with the game, and sick of the huge swings, i decided to...

Re: Does anyone else play 2/4 hi/low at party poker?

I am new to stud8 but love it. Once I started understanding the game more, I moved up to 2/4. It seemed the most sensible thing to do since it's still $.25 ante, which is the same at 1/2 and .50/1.

Re: Stud 8 hand:7 way capped on 3rd St. How \'s my line?

I don't see how he can continue against seat 4. Seat 4 almost surely has hero beat. Especially on 6th.

Re: Stud 8 hand:7 way capped on 3rd St. How \'s my line?

I didnt look any past 4th street. Follow the PAINT rule!!! If you catch a paint on 4th you fold. Also look up the escape table. This is huge in h/l.

Escaping is where you can win a portion of the...

Re: EV question for 7Stud hi-lo . . . is there a sim out there?

763 JJA

I cannot see how JJA is a favorite. Most of the time these hands will split, and 763 has a much better chance of improving to a high, then JJA does of improving to a low. JJA needs the...

Re: Folding a set in a big pot.

Another thing, it's folded to the button. You said button is a LAG and will raise with anything here. He might see your call thinking you don't believe the button. If he's a good player, this is a...

Re: Folding a set in a big pot.

I don't think I could fold this. AA definitely looks like it, but is AK a possibility? You hit what you wanted to hit. When you play small pairs preflop, you are looking to hit sets. There are no...

Re: getting all the money in PF with AK

I will never call an all-in preflop with AK unless they are a short stack just finding a weak A and pushing (playing like a damn tourney).

I've had KK run into AA so many times to preflop all-ins,...

Re: My turn to crack aces (low content, but fun :) )

I like calling small bets on the flop with a pair, and runner runner draw.

I notice no one replied to this post, so I thought I'd give it a shot. It's kind of a broad question, and there are alot of factors involved in these situations.

I like to be the aggressor. If I...

Re: Who makes this call?

Why such a small bet on the turn? He called a pot sized bet on the flop. There are a ton of draws out there. Make him pay to hit his draw. I would recommend bigger flop and turn bets.

This happens all the time, more often then not. AK doesnt hit everytime.

I like to fire at the flop, once I get a call I like to give respect. Dont dig yourself in deeper then you need to.

Re: How often do you limp raise?

Personally, I never limp raise AA/KK in SSNL. I like to set up an aggressive image by raising preflop and betting alot of the flops. This helps alot to get paid with these hands.
