Re: My turn to crack aces (low content, but fun :) )
I've learnt the hard way to watch out when calling very small bets with one pair on the flop. This hand looks fine, but you can often be reverse dominated or already crushed, and it's very easy for anyone to have tons of redraws.

But I was pretty certain that was just a probe bet and there really isnt any way I am not calling that bet in this situation. |

I like calling small bets on the flop with a pair, and runner runner draw.

Like I said, it's a good thing, it's just that you don't win with two pair nearly as often as you think you will, so if you are deep and betting goes crazy after you hit, this is usually a sign you are not good. |

As I said, I was "certain" it was just a probe bet. Had I had a dead read he had AA, I am 100% calling this bet. Im sure everyone knows why. You definitely bring up a good point. But I was pretty certain that was just a probe bet and there really isnt any way I am not calling that bet in this situation. [/ QUOTE ] |

Oh I definitely agree with you. I learned the hard way early on that its ok to lay down two pair on a non scary board sometimes.
