Re: Playing \"Other Games\" live

Oaks Card Club spreads Lowball. One draw, Ato5 (I think), no dealer. Watched it for a few minutes, nobody under the age of 50 sitting in.

Re: I suck at Omaha 8OB

DJ-

Switch to Party .5/1, their ring games are unimaginably easier. I don't even bother with Stars' cash games any more.

O8 tournaments are often tough because they use the same blind...

Re: Preflop raising in limit O/8

In a loose low limit game, I usually only raise with A2 from late position (unless it's extremely loose and I don't think my raise will thin the field any, then I'll raise from anywhere), and my hand...

Re: Should I play EVENT #5 $1500 Omaha H/L?

My goal as an O-8 player is to eventually enter this tournament, so please do it and then report back. Thanks much.

Re: Far on UB headup 300/600

Hellmuth vs. Far vs. D'Agostino vs. "WeToddDid" at 150/300, some pretty good table patter. "You should stick to your books Phil." -Far. Bwahahaha.

Hellmuth also ducked a challenge from Far to...

Re: How much of a wuss am I? 2/4 hand

Absolutely raise PF for value. Getting comfortable with raising a premium hand PF and then laying it down if you don't connect at all on the flop is a good thing. It sucks, but sometimes the game...

Re: Live O8 players are worse then Party players

I had a very similar experience last night playing in my first live O8 game. While waiting for a seat to open up I jumped into a $2-4 HE game that was MUCH, MUCH tighter than the $4-8 game. At...

Re: Hilarious $2/4 hand from this weekend...

Just a link? I was hoping for one of your sweet revolutionary poems.

Do women still fall for the "I'm a sensitive guy that wants to smash the state" shtick?

Hilarious $2/4 hand from this weekend...

I went to The Oaks Card club this past Friday to get in a few orbits of HE before heading home, where I had the (mis)fortune of seeing a very peculiar hand.

To set the stage, I'd been playing for...

Re: Low Limit Omaha 8/b players do the darndest things (l/c)

Not a big fan of your PF call, but at least you had an ace!

Re: Live 0/8 Frustrations

Big Red A-

How often do you sit in the Bay101 game? I was there a couple weeks ago and watched a little bit of the 4/8 game and the play varied from very solid to guys who might as well have lit...

Re: Omaha SNGs on Party

I too have found them to be a mixed bag. Haven't found much problem moneying, but the blind structure isn't adjusted for Omaha, so you end up with 200/400 blinds with 8000 chips total, and from...

Re: I\'ll kick it off....

A2 with nothing else? I'd only limp from late position.

I think it's a good fold you made.
