Re: Darth Vader will read your mind

This is pretty fun for a few minutes, thanks for the link. Beat Vader with dice and pomegranate on my first two tries. He got poker in 24, I suspect that has something to do with him learning from...

Re: More higher level thinking - putting in the 28th raise

I think you and Paluka should do a variety show.

Re: Atlanta crew: help an old foggie out

I live in midtown ATL on Piedmont, and two friends of mine who also play poker for a living live in the same building. Don't know if I post enough to count as a 2+2er, but Im sure the 3 of us would...

Re: 50+5 Heads-up: He re-raised preflop. What hand do you think he has?

I think you're trying to get more play out of your stack than you really have in a typical Party sitngo HU situation. Stop-n-gos don't really work as much because the pot is always huge relative to...

Re: 100 nl TT button decision

At what point in the hand do you feel uncomfortable, as though you are putting your life on the line as a small favorite? Let's assume you had 900 chips instead of 1400. Clearly your options would...

Re: 100 nl TT button decision

I would call here. UTG's range of hands is clearly very wide considering his stack and the blinds hitting him next hand, quite possibly wider than it should be. Given this I don't think MP1's call...

Re: $200+15 sng, flop a set on level 1

Adanthar, would you mind elaborating on what the minreraise accomplishes in the hand? You mention that you are seeking to avoid a showdown but I don't see how the minreraise accomplishes that. The...

Re: $200+15 sng, flop a set on level 1

I wish I'd read DonButtons post first, as I agree completely and that's a much more concise description to boot.

Re: $200+15 sng, flop a set on level 1

Hi Chris,

Call the turn. If the BB reraises I'm looking for an exit. If the river pairs the board I'm leading for around 250 with the intention of calling all-in. If the river comes 3 I'm checking...

Re: Hand 2: The standard missed flop steal

Looks fine, though I think I'd usually bet a little more on the flop because I wouldn't want him to think this is a good opportunity to reraise allin and pick up the pot.

Re: Hand 4: Interesting

Just wanted to point out that with the Ah redraw, I think you could check this or bet around half the pot depending on the players involved. You're not terribly likely to lose this pot if you're...

Re: Hand 6: Am I being trapped?

I think the flop bet is stretching it. With two backdoor draws and two overcards, you'd really like to see the turn, but you have to fold to a raise. I like raising less preflop, and oftentimes...

Re: Hand 8: This may be a leak of mine!

Ive played 50s, 100s, and occasionally 200s and I would normally make this call. The way I see it, you are still in a solid position if you lose, and you can really run over the table at the 50-100...

Re: Hand 5: Very Interesting

You mention that you don't like it, but I would suggest just calling the 30 preflop. If you are going to raise, I believe you need to raise enough to give yourself some chance of taking down the pot,...

Your results after 30 tournaments should not phase you. As someone who often plays 30 tournaments a day (50s-200s), I can tell you that you're...

Re: Is it worth singing up for rakebacks if I only play SnGs?

It's certainly worth it. I played around 600 $100 + 9 sitngos over November and made around $1200 from my friend's affiliate status. Even if you are playing $10+1s, if you play a large number of...

Re: Sanity Check

I don't like raising any more than 500 here. If your stack was smaller I would consider an all-in. Here I think you really want to avoid putting too many chips at risk with a marginal hand, even...

Re: Bubble Aggression Hand Party $30+3

[ QUOTE ]
The dumbest part is that he (the opponent) only raised halfway preflop. If he intended to call if reraised, he should've just pushed them in in the first place. There's no way Hero gets...

Re: Suicide?

I'm surprised that most people are convinced the button has a 9 or overs/flush draw here. A bunch of limpers have checked to him on a 9-9-2 board. I can imagine a lot of bad players making this bet...

Re: Bluff catch or easy fold? Party 30+3

I fail to see how this can ever be anything other than an extremely easy fold.

Re: Bet into with TPTK

I would shove on the flop. People who limp AJo or even Axs and call a raise normally don't fold here. The problem with waiting until the turn to raise is you can't fold if the flush hits on the turn....

Re: ROI expectation moving from $55 to $109

My ROI over 700 $109s is around 14%. I haven't played many 55s myself, but a similarly skilled friend of mine's ROI for 55s is around the same as yours. In other words, it's probably a fair...

Hey Dave, I've been reading 2+2 regularly myself so when I saw your post I thought I'd sign up. Your friends are correct to suggest the Party Super tournaments. I've been playing in 2-3 supers a week...
