30/60 KK against a nit
Full table. Villain (14/6/1) is sitting in small blind and I've tangled him in quite a few pots during this session. He 3-bet my late opener from button, HU flop came T high, I c/r him and bet T turn...

$30/$60 QQ Turn decision
Very good 9-handed 30/60 game. I've been running good and might have a slightly LAG image. One fold to me and I open-raise Q /images/graemlins/spade.gif Q /images/graemlins/club.gif. I'm not...

Re: 89s 30/60
Seems ok but I'd probably lean towards 3-betting the flop to make the hand easier to play.

Results
I ended up checking the flop, 3-bettor bet, BB called and I folded. Turn brought a K /images/graemlins/diamond.gif, check-check. River total blank, check-check. BB proudly flips over 95o (no diamond)...

Re: $15/$30, 99, protected pot
My reasoning for capping preflop:
- My image is somewhat aggressive preflop (i've had a bunch of nice starting hands which failed to connect)
- BBs handrange is any two cards discounting premium...

$15/$30, 99, protected pot
10-handed. My second orbit on the table. I have been quite active preflop without winning any pots. I open raise 9 /images/graemlins/diamond.gif 9 /images/graemlins/heart.gif MP, next guy (not...

Re: HU preflop
"SB makes it 20k, you have 72o, what do you do?"
I fold, call or reraise (I can make a meaningful reraise without committing myself)

I call or...

Re: $30/$60 QQ against a tight player
Thanks guys.. Just needed a sanity check. I ended up betting the turn despite my gut feeling telling me I was getting c/r for sure. C/r is what he did and I folded.

$30/$60 QQ against a tight player
Full game, folded to CO-1 (1k hands, 16% vpip, 8% pfr, aggression 1.8, checkraise 2.2%) who raises. CO folds and I 3-bet from button with Q /images/graemlins/spade.gif Q...

Re: learning to lay down hands: hand #1
I think you are trying to outsmart your opponents here more than you are trying to play good poker. I get tempted to do this at times. These spots are so frustrating when you "know" he is gonna show...

Re: defending the blinds -
Are you folding flushdraws, openended straight draws, gutshots with overs, gutshots with backdoor draws etc? Ever heard of semibluff?

Re: stars 30-60 games
So the games are horrible (= competition being very tough) and you are seeing a lot of bs (= getting bad beats?). And your question is if your losses are mainly because of the beats or tough...

Re: HU: chipleader Kc 7c What\'s your move?
Easy call. I doubt he would play a hand stronger than top pair this way. Only hand you are really worried about is higher flush draw. Then again he would probably reraise you preflop with a suited...

Re: I puked a little and folded my full house
You have only observed him for an orbit. You have seen him misread his hand already. If you are good 9% of the time here you already make profit. I think he missclicks/missreads his hand or decides...

Re: I puked a little and folded my full house
Your river valuebet looks fine. I'd probably go for the crying call hoping to catch a random raise. He could be easily raising this river with 88, 99, KQ and even smaller pocket pairs if he is as bad...

Re: Let\'s play $50/$100 with a 10bb br
I think your buddy is a bit confused, since pacific poker doesn't offer $50/$100 game. Their highest limit is $30/$60 in realmoney tables. They have $50/$100 tables in the playmoney section though.....

Re: heads up NLHE hand with an ante
I hate the way you played the hand. The flop bet was your only reasonable play IMO. After you checkraise the river I don't think you can call a reraise unless you know your opponent very well. Would...
