Re: The best result for America.

Based on the disappearance of Rumsfeld from view and the softening of Cheney, I predict that there will be an immediate and marked moderation in the Bush government. All of the exposure of their...

I really don't understand how bush has been reelected. Maybe I don't understand the issues.

I see now I misinterpreted getting a degree in accounting as preparation for a career choice. If you had said philosophy major, and that you were thinking of becoming a bar tender, I probably...

Re: Sustainable long term ROI??

[ QUOTE ]
As far as all the resume gap comments, and the horrible damage you do to your future by not working now, I don't really buy any of that. I have have huge career gaps all over my resume...

i don't know if the poker bubble will burst; i suspect it won't keep growing forever, but it will hit a peak and then come down a bit and maintain.

Re: Sustainable long term ROI??

You will not be employable in two years without a work resume, and your degree won't be worth squat to employers. You won't even be able to state on your resume (should you need one) what you've been...

Re: \'Being called is as bad as being re-reraised\'

[ QUOTE ]
Is obviously incorrect. Youve still got a chance of winning the pot with a call.

Re: One Table Tourney Help

Should I continue playing very tight with raising Q-Q or better or A-K, but add suited connectors and small pairs if I can limp in or get solid pot odds?

Re: One Table Tourney Help

[ QUOTE ]

I agree it is weak. That is why I clam up and only try to play Q-Q or better or A-K for the first few rounds, but it always seems to make me short stacked when I get to the final 5 or...

Re: One Table Tourney Help

[ QUOTE ]
This actually seems to be my problem. I raise preflop with A-J suited. It seems like I get like 3-5 callers everytime. An Ace will come on the flop and I bet the pot. I get 1-2...

Re: One Table Tourney Help

Maybe play the opponents and your position a bit more, as opposed to your cards. In my short career at SNGs, I've noticed that players reveal their understanding of the game with amazing speed,...

Re: First three SNGs

Having played some more at this same level/structure, I'm still of the opinion that initiating the suicide pact is a mistake. (I even had this exact scenario occur, which was good for a laugh when I...

Re: New to Single table lovin it

Thanks for your reply Brad.

42% is your probability of winning. You lose over half the time. This is as I said.

Re: First three SNGs

Thanks for the tip Lori. I am aware of the vig. These Party 5/1 games are simply my baseline for evaluating tournament behaviours. Up to this point, I've been strictly a cash guy. So far, I like it....
