Re: 5/10 Getting cold called holding a baby flush

You are right. I misread the stacks as 1800 and 1500. not 800 and 500.

Mea culpa.

Re: 5/10 Getting cold called holding a baby flush

I would bet around $350, if raised I think you can get away from your hand. If called, I check the river either way and probably call a non spade river depending on my read.

Will pushing the turn...

Re: AA in NL400 - Villain takes confusing line

I must be the only fool here who gets stacked. I can see the read for 98s but does a tighty open limp with this hand in MP? I would think it's more likely he limps with AJh or JTh than 98. His check...

Re: Horse racing tips?

Hi,

If you're only going for the fun and enjoyment, I wouldn't worry about it so much. DRF.com is the website of the Daily Racing Form. They have articles quite frequently on the site and DelMar...

Re: Looking for a job......

North Carolina/Raleigh-Durham is becoming much more biotech friendly as well.

I work for a Biotech company in Cambrdge, MA in the Finance area. Not real science savvy. For what type of job are...

Re: This is tough to write

I'm sorry to hear of your loss. Strong will, strong faith (whether religous or not) and strong family will help you get you through this unspeakable tragedy.

My parents lost a 4 year old son...

Re: any 2+2\'ers at Paradise 200NL ?

Hi Punter,

I play at the 200 at Paradise for the last 9 months or so. Pretty good mix of bad, fair and good players. Handful of regular donators but sometimes during the week the games can get...

Re: Sports Betting Stories

Everyone remembers their bad beats but I remeber my good fortune.

In 1989?? Edmonton/Boston NHL Final series. O/U of 6.5. I have the under. Game tied at 3 in the 2nd period and the Old Boston...

Re: Top two doo doo?

Raising allows him to get away from his hand right here. If he doesn't raise, what do you do on the turn when villain bets the pot or 3/4 pot? I don't think you lose less by just calling.

Re: Did i play this way too scared? Should i bet turn? 1000PL

I would grit my teeth and bet out on the turn, about 450. A raise would stink but I think you can throw your hand away to the probable set.

I'm suprised the CO didn't bet the river. You and the SB...

Re: on the button on the defensive

If that is the case, then you have to decide if they would call a raise with a 4 or other paired rag preflop. Your read of the player is very important. With no read and the other players continuing...

Re: on the button on the defensive

In the first case, if I raised from the button w/ AK or AQ and the SB/BB called and bet into me for the size of the pot on a flop of A44, I'd flat call and raise the turn if they bet out again (all...

Re: Too weak tight? Flop bottom set

You were there and we weren't so you have a better "feel" for the player in question, but I still have trouble saying it is a marginal situation.

His relatively small raise seems to me that he is...

Re: Too weak tight? Flop bottom set

I vote for too tight.

Would he make this same play with 99-JJ? I would imagine so.

It looks like he was the 2nd limper pre-flop. Would he limp with AA-KK if the game was as tight as you say...

Re: Deep stacked NL game, do you play small pocket pairs out of position?

I think it helps to know the individuals rather than the types. In some games if your limping will encourage others limping, then the play up front with small pairs is to limp. If the game texture...

Re: Quit my job and now i need some help!

TD Waterhouse will work as well as any other online brokerage.

I'm assuming you have less than 5k in your 401(k). If you have greater than 5k, your company can not force you to choose a rollover....

Re: Sensing weakness....

Hi,

Why no preflop raise? Would you limp here with a wide range of hands, including middling or big pairs?

The flop bet looks standard when checked to but I would give it up after the check...

Re: Best TV show not to make it past two seasons

Sports Night was very good. I also liked a show on Sunday night on Fox called Hermans Head. It was after Married with Children. The other I liked was The Naked Truth with Tia (sp?)Leone.

Re: From CNNSI Truth and Rumors column

Couldn't agree more. He will be a disaster at 2nd base. His footwork is atrocious and turning a double play without the benefit of coming across the bag will be a nightmare for him.

If he signed...

Re: Does Torre get fired if Yankees lose game 7?

The problem is I don't know what will cause the attack. A Yankee win or a Sox victory. Either way, I may be overcome.
