Re: Okay call down w/ TT?
Thanks for your input Magenoita. I understand the maneuver, but I think I have trouble applying it or reacting correctly to it unless i am running well. Otherwise, the cap scares the bejesus out of...

Folding this river is pretty bad, for reasons already stated.

Unfortunately there aren't any.

Re: Preflop ditty
I would usually fold KQo in this spot, but raise AJo. I don't feel comfortable calling because I hate being on the button without initiative, and I don't like raising because I assume that more...

Re: Okay call down w/ TT?
Sorry about the somewhat obvious pre-flop stuff in my original post. The line that you took is one that I used to take, but am getting out of the habit of taking now. It could be optimal (I'm not...

Re: Okay call down w/ TT?
You need a better reason than "I find sometimes people cap "for fun"", to justify calling down this hand. It takes a rare breed to cap for "fun", and a 42/13 doesn't seem like the type. I often...

Re: 10/20 :blind defense part 3 - A2s
Raising the turn on a semi-bluff seems reasonable, but it's scary to do it against an all-county player. I would usually wimp out and call down like you, or might raise the flop and bet the turn,...

Re: Rivered bottom pair vs a flop call/reraiser
Good fold on river. While I see the point of capping the flop to eliminate other A's, I don't think it's the best move here. When button three-bets the flop, you are often looking at a situation...

Re: AQ with a tag
Joker's right about not raising on the flop. You want to win the maximum from the hands that you are way ahead of to make-up for the times you lose.
Whether or not I show down here depends on my...

Re: AKs
Raise the flop if you think you can get a free card, otherwise just call. You played the river fine. You are ahead of AQ, KK, 1010, so I like the call, but the check-raise (not to mention the...

Re: Stop\' n\' Go useless heads up?
I'll generally only use it if I'm looking to bluff at a broadway card on the turn. Your opponent must be passive enough to lay down a good portion of the time. Strong table image helps too

Re: This is getting silly.. Halp? =]
I saw that you were about 30 VP$P and 20 PFR at 2/4? Am I correct? Any, I think only the best players can play that style for a significant win-wrate at 6-max. I would advise you play more like...

Re: I get fancy with 22
Didn't read all posts, but I agree with Sthief's assertion that you have very little fold equity against a guy that has been playing back at you. Plus just about every card is a scare card when you...

Re: Nothing much happens - AJs
Yeah, I like calling or even raising here on the flop, depending on how likely I think I am to get BB to fold. If he was passive, I could fold this without much worry, but that fact that he is...
