Joker's right about not raising on the flop. You want to win the maximum from the hands that you are way ahead of to make-up for the times you lose. Whether or not I show down here depends on my opponent's average aggression. I would call river usually, because often times the BB in this situation will try to get you to fold better hands. People seem to be more aggressive in blind steal/re-steal situations. [/ QUOTE ] i raised utg i feel like one of my biggest leaks is making call downs i shouldn't. this includes calling down with A high against maniacs on boards that are 4 to a flush, or very likely straight possibilities. my standard line here is to call if bet at, bet if checked too.

Explain your turn and river play. Why are you calling the turn and folding the river? The only hand that the jack improved was JJ and AT otherwise your in the same position as the turn. Seems like you should fold the turn b/c you're dominated or call the river b/c your wa/wb

if you're bb and you have 77-JJ or AJ how do you play the hand?
do you 3bet preflop lead flop lead turn and check call or check fold the river depending on who you're against? i do (although sometmies i'll check fold the turn with 77,88). i think on teh turn there are a lot of hands the villain is still betting that he wont follow through on the river with. stealthcow-
