Re: 11: Easy fold with JJ?
Huh - surprised at the support for pushing. I fold or call. You are in decent chip position, and JJ is a risky hand to commit to preflop, particularly against two opponents with good hands.

$11 - How much to pay for 55
Very first game of the tournament, so no reads at all. I figure I call a small/med raise, but I don't see that my implied odds justify a call here.
Thoughts? Do I call this, or play it...

PokerTracker Help
I always record my play with PokerTracker. When I was playing limit ring games, I found this an invaluable analytic tool, and was able to plug numerous leaks.
But with tournament play, I am at a...

Re: $11--wow I won...hand question inside
Am I the only one that is still playing 99 for set value in this case? With the blinds still relatively small at a 6-handed table, I am terrified of any overcard to my 99. This is one of those...

Re: Don\'t talk
Occasionally I see one player really go after another in chat, and often the attacked player plays poorly in an attempt to show him up, or something of the kind.
Do any of you guys ever...

I'm practically a fish, so value my thoughts accordingly.
Hands 1 and 3 I play the same way. Ace with good kicker is a good push in HU, and I really...

Re: hesitating before acting
If this is online, I wouldn't place too much weight on this. There are too many factors that can cause a delay, like line interference, connection problems, or w/e.

Re: 44 in EP
He only got 2 callers THIS TIME. Usually on PP 0.5 every hand is 5+ callers. This is unusual.
Limp any low pocket pair, any position.

Re: 44 in EP
Gotta call the river. PP 0.5 - people do the darndest things, particularly on the river. I don't know how many times I've called the river, convinced that I was last of many opponents, only to find...

I knew I was vulnerable all along. Not sure what I could have done to protect myself better.
I'm thinking I should have checked the river for sure, though.

I 3-bet/cap. The guy limped from the button. Either really weak or just a crappy hand. He could have a straight or a crappy flush, a variety of other hands that would lead him to raise...

I put him on AA. That's the only hand that people will always bet, even into a scary board. Villain knows he has trip aces, and that's all he cares about. He wouldn't have bet KK on the flop. AK...

Re: A correctly played hand?

Looks book-perfect. I would have bet the flop instead of c/r, but I figure c/r is the better value play if you have confidence that a bet will come.
c/r on the flop may lose you some...

I like the whole line. Too many opponents left to bet the turn unimproved. Somebody has at least a pair, so fold the river.
