Dave Tuch should have picked up on the verbal tell.

Dave should have known that the act weak, "do you have a draw" question indicates strenght. Easier to see when we see the hole cards.

Disagree with Shirely

I disagree that you should play tight in a loose game and loose in a tight game. One should play just slightly tighter then then opponents. I agree that you should bluff more in a tight game, but...

The limit is too high for Bud

I've never seen Bud playing this high. Perhaps it's just to big for him. He didn't raise with the KQ, because he was afraid to get reraised.

Are they getting good reads, are are they just loose? (*NM*)

Are they just loose, or are they reading others well enough to make some pretty amazing calls?

Re: Disciplin

If you are having trouble quiting for the day, you probably have a compulsive gambling problem. Discipline largely relates to throwing away junk hands and getting away from good hands that are beat....

Re: questions on a recent hand

Generally, I would not play A7s in EMP especially if I expected a lot of raising preflop. It's a good hand multiway, but I prefer it in MLP.

It's always difficult to play a flush draw with a...

Re: Should I have bet the river

thanks everyone for the replys.

I should have bet for two reasons: First, because he is more likely to call with a worse hand, and second, to keep in dark about the fact that I was on to him. ...

Re: Should I have bet the river

I play on Thursday, Friday, and Sunday nights at Club Caribe in Cudahy just west of Bell Gardens. Otherwise, I play mostly at the Bicycle Club and Hollywood Park.

Re: Should I have bet the river

But the situation I feel I'm in is that he only calls if he can beat me. He's on a pure bluff unless he has the nine. Now, you have a point. He could have called me with much less, but I really...

Should I have bet the river

3-6 game with a couple loose agressive players to my right. I have AJo in late position. I raise and isolate the two loosies. The flop comes 29J rainbow. Check, check, bet, call, fold. The turn...

Re: Opinion Wanted

Gino,

The correct play in low limit is to raise. The 7 is more likely to have garbage, and you have to presure the K to fold. If he calls you have trouble, but at least you will be last to act...

Re: Opinion Wanted (Different Possibility)

Here's a possibility.

The limper probably has a big pair in the hole, most likely Aces. Whether he has a draw depends upon whether he expected callers behind him. Limping first in could mean two...

Re: Are you being cheated?

I'm not losing money. I keep myself from being cheated by closely watching the suspect players cards.

I will reiterate, the third most important thing you must consider whenever sitting down at...

Re: Are you being cheated?

You are either very lucky or play in increadibly clean games. I'm a prop in a local card club where dealers have informed me that cheating regularly goes on. I've seen players showing each other...

Are you being cheated?

IMO, the first three things you must consider whenever deciding to sit down at the table are: (1) your mental state (broadly defined); (2) the quality of the players at the table; and (3) whether...

Re: Hand from $2-$5 Colorado Game

First, the river can't be a 7 /forums/images/icons/diamond.gif because you hold it in your hand. Second, your bet on the river is not that bad. There are a lot of hands with which he could have...

Re: Was I too weak with this hand?

There may be some small advantage to going all in, but I never do it. If I have a monster, I want to bet it; and if I need to push someone off the pot, I want to able to do it. I can always fold...
