thanks a lot- comments were helpful. I just finished losing a quick 50 on party poker $50 PL. I had been doing really well on the $25 and thought i could step it up. Guess i was wrong.

1. Why was it wrong
2. the entire hand was just the two of us from the start
3. I doubled up-- i guess technically it may not have been a "monster" but I won a nice amount from it.

I'm a semi-serious player-- I started a year ago and since have made several successful trips to various casinos (under age though) but most of my playing comes at school, with the same 5-8 guys...
