Re: Preflop, need help
king ten suited is a hand you should raise in late position with no limpers, otherwise i would typically fold to a raise before me unless it is shorthanded. I also advise open limping in late...

Re: another AJ in the BB
i would have raised this hand preflop since you are last to act and noone showed strength. I believe your flop play is fine although the flop is worriesome. On the turn i am probably gonna cuss and...

Re: 77 flop oesd
you have a good draw but i am folding to this bet. The blinds are too small and it is too early in the tourney to be risking so many chips on a draw. Villain is pot commited and is not folding imo....

Re: Big slick with 3 players left
Well i did call, much like anyone probably would. I figured at worst he had a Pocket pair jacks or queens, at best i had him dominated with a better kicker. He had pocket aces and i lost the pot...

i have 3500 chips
small blind has 4200
villain has about 2300 (a solid moderately aggressive player that i have been pushing around with all...

when to and when not to narrow the field
I usually play my strong draws somewhat aggressively. (straight flush draws or open ended straights) This tends to limit the field by the time i hit my draw. Therefore not as many people in the...

Re: Value of Ax in NL?
the thing with flush draws in no limit is that they are too obvious. In my experience the majority of the money you will make will be the bets you call to get your flush . ONce there is 3 of a suit...

Re: 2nd nut flush from BB - family pot
this is a very tough hand. Ive lost hands like this as well.
the pot before the river was only 5 dollars. then your raise tripled the pot size. You gotta look at it in your opponents eyes though,...

Re: A10
looks to me like he may have hit a set. That is a pretty big bet. I would probably fold this unless villain is known to try and steal pots with large bets. The pot is still relatively small. If the...

Re: Am I playing scared here?
Your play looks ok to me. On the flop i would say you definatley have the best hand not many people would play A 2 or 6 7 or even real small pocket pairs like 3 4 5 with the kind of raising that was...

Re: Part Two
personally i would reraise here. you have a very nice draw to the nuts with 2 overcards. Their bet was super weak, and for all they know you could have raised preflop with pocket kings or aces. So...

Re: fold or call
the way the villain played this definately looked like a draw, either flush or straight draw. I would have bet more on the turn and checked the river if he was dumb enough to call

There really isn't a way to protect your hand when you're in the BB with that many people in. You raise for value.

to raise or not to raise
We all know that raising AA preflop is usually the right thing to do, because it is a value bet when we have a significant edge. But say you are big blind in a limit game and you have more than 6...
