Re: 99 overpair vs. a 3-bet
Anyone capping this preflop? Not me.
Anyone not raise this flop? Raise looks good.
I assume the turn bet is automatic (and ps., I'm probably folding to a turn CR - hope that's not a big...

Re: KK, wise or insane laydown?
I agree with jba that you must raise the flop. This in turn will make the hand easier to play I think. If after raising the flop, both opps call, and the turn action goes bet, raise, a fold is much...

Re: Mildly common marginal situation
This is good advice. Some players bet into the pfr with top pair only, some with bottom pair or better, some with just flush draws/oesd, others with trash when they think you missed a ragged flop,...

Re: Sklansky and Miller and Effective Odds
In hold'em, effective odds are used on the flop when you know the odds to hit your hand by the river and will have to put in bets on both the flop and turn to see your draw all the way through.

Re: Is this retarded?
If you think you are behind and figure about 6-8 outs, calling the turn and folding the river here would be fine.
I play the hand the same way postflop. Preflop depends on button, but is perfectly...

Re: QQ, too fancy?
If you think he'll fold to the turn raise, but call a river raise, I guess this works. In my experience a lot of the 1/2 6 max guys pay off turn raises because they always think you're pulling a move...

Re: Please Help Me Fix My Game: It\'s Broke
Hey, I think I played at your table yesterday. I was the number 5 seat.
A little intro, I started 1/2 6 max a few weeks ago after a stretch of 1/2 full. I had played .50/1.00 6 max but didn't...

Re: Do you peel here?
I would fold because your hand is vulnerable to redraws. If you make your 2 pair on the turn, it might be counterfeited on the river; also there may be diamond, straight, or higher 2 pair draws as...

Re: EV of a four-flush: effective odds intro
I'm unsure about your BB per hand on this one. You are getting 3.8333 to 1 on a 2 to 1 shot so...
2 hands you will lose 1 and 1 hand you will gain 3.8333
2 * -1 + 1 * 3.8333 = 1.8333 BB per 3...
