Re: Whats my river play here? In a tight spot.
with no flush draw on the board you want everyone in the game while you draw at the nut straight. in this case 2 sb gets 2sb from one opponent, if you dont raise you have the opportunity to get 3 sb...

Re: overcards and flush draw
ok...I toss k9 from there...I definitely throw it away on the flop. All that action on the turn is too much for me. All of this and you're drawing at the 2nd nut...nice stinking pot though!!!!!

Re: JJ taking a little fire
if that flop hit him that hard or he's slowplaying a bigger pocket pair preflop at that level... say nh and go after him next time...I like your line. He didn't play it well if he had you beat.

Re: Viable bluff or more leaking?
Is he/she a player who can understand your bluff play? Does he/she play his opponents cards or just his own? Do you believe that he/she will say "he must have that Jack"? Are you at a tight table...

Re: Spewing chips like a moron.
I fold the flop when it's raised to me. I dont care how laggy the guy is. You are drawing at 3 dirty outs and you may be drawing dead.

Re: Very odd J8o hand
when i catch top pair out of the big blind with a reasonable hand like this I bet out. Everything else is money. i like the river check raise, a lot.

Re: A Favorite in the Game or an Underdog
if you play at a sight where you can see flop percentages look for a high 'see the flop' percentage with a low avg pot size. you should be at a table with loose/passive players who wont put you under...

Re: Help me get out of this hand
i dump it preflop also. not so much worried about being dominated but i dont like QTo for one bet, let alone 2. I don't consider myself a tight player either.

I'm with you that one ace is bad and two are good in this case. (I recently paid off four aces with pocket Ts with that thinking tho.) I usually take villains off of the ace when the second one...

that you gotta fold. if the flop is rainbow and all over say T73 then you can MAYBE reraise; You are now in a raise or fold situation. The question to ask yourself is would the villain check raise...

for what it's worth I take the free card. You aren't getting rid of them both with a turn bet.
With your turn bet you got two more big bets plus if a blank falls on the river a bet may get rid of...

Re: EV question on a QQ hand
good one. I think personally it's raise or fold time. So pop him one and see what he does. two bets now or one here and one on the river ...this way you have some chance to win right there.

a lot of people read some books that tell players that rasing a four flush on the flop can get you a free turn card, there are also people who believe that a four flush is a value bet on the flop, if...
