Vegas Comps Declining?

My friends and I go to Vegas annually during the first weekend of the NCAA tourney. In years past, we have been able to take advantage of execellent comps, i.e. free rooms, $400 bar tabs on house,...

Re: Anderson SC

There are no B&M within 5-6 hours. I'm in Atlanta, and the closest card rooms are Biloxi or the Silver Star in Philadelphia, MS. Welcome to the Bible Belt.

Well, I pushed on the turn.

The BB called instantly. The Button called reluctantly.

Sure enough, the Button had the flush draw and the BB had a 6. The only problem was that the BB also had...

Omaha High in Vegas?

I'm going to Vegas next week for the tournament (and the fishies). I understand that most of the Vegas casinos offering Omaha spread hi-low almost exclusively. I heard that I might be able to find...

Harrah\'s Cherokee

They've been in a battle with the licensing authorities over dealing live poker. I have heard that the poker room is finished but that they're awaiting approval. Anyone know the current status of...

Re: Electronic Texas Holdem - cardless tables

The only reason I could see a casino doing this is because the laws of the state won't allow them to deal live cards. That is the case at Harrah's Cherokee in N. Carolina. Their BJ tables have a...

Re: Difference in Style between 1/2 and 2/5 NLHE in Vegas

A semi-bluff raise is raising with a draw. It's a bluff because you haven't made your hand, but it's not a total bluff because you have a chance to make the best hand if one of your outs hits.

I'll be at the Grand in Biloxi this Sunday and am planning on playing Omaha live for the first time. I'll probably start at the lower limit game...$4-8 w/ full kill. Will I be OK with 100BB buy-in?...

Re: Too aggressive?

All of your input is extremely valued. In retrospect, as most of you said, a smooth call pf is probably the correct play. If I had and that flop hits, he would have given me some action.

Re: Too aggressive?

You are right; it's better to take it down than to loose a big pot by letting him draw out. It's just hard not to second-guess an opportunity to possibly double-up.
