The crew shines a lot more than the "WANNA BE CREW"

Ed Miller

Clarkmeister

Dynasty

The three above mentioned have never even been on TV and probably won't be called real pros. They are just gambling losers.

[/ QUOTE ]

Yeah they really need a fourth member to be a real crew.

"The Crew", where are the four horsemen and the NWO?

[/ QUOTE ]

I don't think that's a fair comparison. The 4 horsemen and the NWO were "cool bad guys", the guys you love to hate, and hate to love. With the crew, people just hate them, period. No enterainment value, just irritation, IMHO.

When were the 4 Horsemen bad guys? or cool?

They were always the bad guys. You do realize he's talking about the original 4 Horsemen, right? Arn Andersen, Ric Flair, Tully Blanchard and Arn's "cousin" Ole. Punk kid, what are you? 14?

I say it's just you. What do you have against them? What makes them the "bad guys"?

The Horsemen were always in the role of "heels" in wrestling but were always admired and cheered by people that appreciated just how good they were at being heels.

In today's wrestling era, when a heel gets cheered, they pretty quickly turn him into a "face" (Randy Orton) but...

...this is a whole other story.

I was watching ESPN's overcoverage of the WSOP, and saw the one with Fischman. Now...not going to beat it to death, but I had a thought. Is it just me, or is the "Crew" poker's version of the Cobra Kai?

[/ QUOTE ]

I was thinking more like "Revenge of the Nerds"

I think about nerds too when I hear people discuss professional wrestling.

That's a good one.

"We're taking over the poker world?" Man, are those dorks ever going to get sick of saying this? Every time the crew is shown on television, they are going for a group-manwich-hug, and Dutch yells out, "We're taking over the poker world."

Its more like, "We're taking over the Castro District!."
