Hi Farrquaad,

Here's a simple piece of advice that if you always followed you'd be playing close to optimum strategy: Never fold an overpair on any street for one bet.

You would have to be over 75% certain that you are beaten here to fold rather then call the turn and river. Without a read on the player and no strong evidence to support his holding, I don't see how you can lay this hand down.

Another thing to consider is it is only you and him. If there were more players, I might be more concerned about somebody having a 5, but with only you and one other player, it is less likely that he has a 5, and he might just have a Q.

Becuase it is a scary flop, I would bet the flop but just call Button's raise, and call his bets on the turn and the river. No need to lose a lot of money if he does have a 5, but no need to give the pot away if he only has a Q.
